Stitching in Public...

Recently there has been a lot of stitching in public...and I like it! It's really nice to be out of the house crafting away from the TV (where I get nothing done!) and hey the coffee is a bonus ;) Crafting at a good coffee shop is the best; you get a beverage, someone playing music for you and a really cozy atmosphere without being at home! I can't get enough of this; I wish I could do it everyday...

Give me some coffee and embroidery and I will go to town!

Serious Stitcher Face...

Where do you like to stitch in public, or are you a homebody stitcher?

I haven't been stitching since Oct/Nov. Which is a cryin' shame, but when I did I don't think I've ever done it in public. I have stitched on a road trip though.

Oh! Well I have knitted at a coffee shop before and at a restaurant. It's pretty funny to get stares, but I should try embroidering in public.

I do it in public with no qualms! I agree with Jenni about it being funny to get the stares. People expect to see their grandmother behind the hoop and floss, and when they see that it is a peer, the look of shock is hysterical! It is especially funny at a place where everyone is at their laptops, like a Starbucks.

I stitch on planes and in airports - other commuters be darned! ;) But I'm REAL careful with my fabric, because airports are filthy, filthy places...

I love stitching when I'm out and about- I often stitch in pubs and coffee shops. And always on my lunch break @ work, it's so much better than the mindless conversation of the other people in the break room. All they want to do it whine to me about work, it's like, hello! I'm not on the clock right now, lolz.

I am one of those un-diagnosed ADD/ADHD adults who has trouble being still. I have toted embroidery and knitting EVERYWHERE! Used to embarrass the kids when they were middle school age but they got over it. ;)

@ Jenni- I totally miss seeing your embroidery you busy bee! I totally tried stitching on a road trip but I kept messing up, haha.

@Anita- Isn't it funny! People are always looking and you see them looking and they stare and finally after an hour ask...what are you doing? It's fun to describe embroidery to newbies ;)

@Giddy99- Lol indeed airports are dirty! I love me some stitching on a plane, it makes the flight go so fast!

@Jackson- Haha, you should be embroidering something that says "don't bother me I'm on my break!" Stitching at work is so good, I wish I had a longer break!

@Desi- Ooooh doctors office, such a good idea! I am going to have to try that...once I get insurance!

@Becky- You go girl, do it everywhere!!!! I like to do it on the bus :) :) :)
