Baby Strawberry Pincushions

Camping crafts part 2!
We brought a Martha Stewart tutorial with us, that didn't really make any sense, so we just took the idea and went for it on our own :)
The Martha tutorial is here.

We used felt to make ours, because we brought piles and piles of it! We embroidered french knots on the felt first before we rolled it up into a cone, then sewed up the side by hand, because we didn't have a machine in the forest!

We stuffed the strawberry with organic cotton balls instead of what Martha calls for which is sand or emery. I was so excited to put this pin cushion in my on the go sewing kit :)

Mine is the larger one, it looked very radish like( I used the martha tutorial to the tee) and Maureen free-formed hers, it looked exactly like a delicious strawberry. She so graciosuly took our favorite martha scissors to my radish and made it into a strawberry!
They turned out so cute, super easy, and a great gift for yourself or a friends sewing kit ;)

Here are some more camping photos:

This log connected our camp ground to the meadow, we had our own special entrance

Here is Maureen and I crafting by lantern, we have never had so much fun crafting at night!

My lens was foggy when I took this picture, I like how magical and misty it looks

Up tommorow camping crafts part 3!

See you then ;)
