Today is my first day off of the whole week off (yes!) and I am so happy for it to be the week of my embroidery show and to have my dad here to adventure around town with! Over the weekend I went and bought all of the frames and mats for my pieces and Maureen (because she is such a CHAMP) cut the mats for me and framed up half of them, omg they look so GOOOOOOOOD!
I have been making so much progress on my huge embroidery and all I have left to stitch is the hands and guns and I'm done! Now I have to figure out how to frame it and I'm ready for the show :)
I spent the most time on the face, I was so worried about getting it right and I love the way the face came out!
More pictures to come tomorrow of what I've been working on :)

Wow! Your stitches are uniformed in size and so tiny! I love it. And why didn't I think to outline satin stitch areas like lips before?
That's puuuurfect :)
I love it!
wow its wonderful!! Bet it looks even better in real life though!
Wow! I'm totally impressed. The detailing is beautiful, the stitches are perfect, but the whole package is just striking.
Those lips! Those eyes! Stunning. Wish I still lived in the bay area so I could see it all in person. Congrats!
Gorgeous! Do you do the outlines before or after the satin stitching?
Oh my help! Katy, she is beautiful!
Thanks so much ladies for the sweet feedback! I have been working so hard and I'm so glad you gals like it :)
I have such a hard time with satin stitch, but for this I outlined first with the backstitch and filled in with satin stitch!
