My first Whimsy Jar Swap
I recently completed my first Whimsy Jar swap over on swap bot. I love buying craft and embroidery supplies and have piles and piles of them already, so a jar swap was right up my alley.
The swap was specifically for embroidery supplies, so I was so excited to fill this baby up!
The first thing I did was make the top of the jar a pin-cushion:
I went to the best fabric store in town to gather a few special goodies:
I got pins, needles, felt, thread, THREAD HEAVEN and bias tape:
I went through boxes of vintage notions my Granny gave me and pulled out this pretty pink daisy hankie and vintage pink buttons:
After I was done collecting all of the goodies it was time to put it all together:
And voila whimsy jar magic! I already joined another one, it's a themed jar swap called Somewhere over the Rainbow Whimsy Jar, I can't wait to get going on this rainbow swap ;)
If you want to join in on the rainbow whimsy jar fun go here to sign up, you have until August 6th ;)
xoxo

p.s. here is me in my party dress last night at my bowling birthday party
It was so much fun, I got a strike my first time up!!!!!!!

Gasp! Whimsy jar?!? How awesome is that! You were really genorous with the whimsy too, somebody's gonna be a lucky ducky! I may have to mosey over there and sign up for that one...
Oh! I finished my Pin Up Girl for the other Swap-Bot swap, and I used one of your patterns, squee! I won a Pin Up Girl set from MafiosaGrrl a while back and have dying to use it, so this swap was perfect! I like it so much I kinda don't want to send it away! Great transfers by the way, clear as a bell onto my fabric and washed right out when I gently swished the piece in cool water & Woolite. As soon as my partner gets it I'll blog and and add the pics to the Sew Lovely Flickr group.
Sorry for the long comment, I'm a chatterbox.
Have a great day!
